Eliminate Acne in three Easy Steps with Proactiv
For a long time, acne has been a condition that has proven elusive when it comes to a solution that will not only get rid of them, but also keep them off. Proactiv is an acne treatment regime that is so effective in eliminating acne that many celebrities have been known to endorse this product. This treatment was developed by two dermatologists and is holding the torch high when it comes to newer acne treatments.
Bacteria, oils commonly known as sebum and dead skin cells that accumulate and block ones skin pores, cause acne and this causes the onset of unsightly blackheads. Proactive is a treatment that works in three steps to eliminate the two main causes of acne, which are bacteria and clogged pores.
Its main ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which is the ingredient that kills the bacteria on the skin. Proactiv also contains an exfoliant that is responsible for getting rid of dead skin cells that have accumulated on ones skin. Proactive will work on the outer skin but will not work on the inner body imbalances, which do not necessarily need to be tackled in most cases.
In as effective as Proactive is, it will mostly work on mild acne conditions and not on persistent acne. The active ingredient, benzoyl peroxide is what works on the bacteria and assures very positive results in the first six months of use. The only downside to Proactiv is the fact that it will stop working effectively after that period.
This is because bacteria, over time, tend to become resistant to the benzoyl peroxide concentration in the treatment and can only work on ones skin for periods between 3 and 6 months.
It is for this reason that the Exposed Acne system is being promoted because it will work on acne and its causes in varying ways. Proactiv is perfect for getting rid of mild cases of acne and if it does not completely eliminate all traces of acne, it will at least reduce its effects on the skin considerable. This will however be so until the benzoyl peroxide stops working on the bacteria attacking ones skin.
